What a special day for the Monty family as we celebrated Ryan Booth’s 400th game for Greenhills Montmorency Baseball Club.
Ryan’s legacy at Monty is about so much more than the number of games he’s played. He’s been an exceptional player, an inspiring coach, a respected teammate and someone who has proudly represented our club at every level.
His incredible achievements include:
🏆 400 GMBC games
🏆 7 Senior Premierships
🏆 3 x Senior 1sts MVP
🏆 A Grade League MVP
🇦🇺 Australian Representative – Japan Industrial League
🇻🇮 Victorian Representative & 2007 Claxton Shield Premiership Player
⚾ Florida Marlins Training Camp participant
Ryan has also given countless hours back to the game as a Co-Senior Coach, Assistant Club Coach, 2nds Coach, and through Baseball Victoria’s junior programs.
Now, the story comes full circle. With his son Ted joining the Monty junior program, Ryan is now coaching the next generation and passing on his love of the game. The Booth family’s connection to Monty extends well beyond the diamond. As Ryan’s passion for baseball grew, so did the dedication of his dad, Colin Booth, who became one of the club’s most valued volunteers and supporters. His years of service were recognised with Life Membership in 2022—a fitting reminder that a club’s greatest legacy isn’t just built by the people on the field, but also by those who work tirelessly behind the scenes to make it all possible.

Boothy, thank you for everything you’ve given to Monty over the years. Your passion, loyalty and commitment have helped shape our club, and we’re incredibly grateful to celebrate this milestone with you.
